So… I think I have been progressing well in my role as a mobile CSR. Looks like in February I won’t be traveling much since the manager would like me to stick around in Park Royal. Had a talk with the manager and they said I’ve been progressing well and they would like me to stay around mostly at Park Royal if it was ok with me. She made it sound like an attractive deal by saying if I stayed around I would be able to get additional training which is definitely a plus for me. Not to mention it’s only a 7 minute drive to the branch definitely real cool for me. On another note, I feel it would benefit me to help out at other branches too, so I hope I will get the chance to do that.
So far, I’ve been averaging around two referrals or booked appointments a day. Except today I was able to book 3 career high! Looking to strive for some more. Sometimes it comes with a little luck like someone comes wanting to open one. Other times you have to ask questions and see if there are unmet needs.
Today, it was already late in the afternoon and no booked appointments. Then, a lady asks to open a US account. 1. I spoke to another client about TFSA, she said her account had some problems with automatic withdrawals and I found that opportunity to set an appointment up for her. 2. 3, under offers and opportunities I saw that a client had an expiring GIC, so it was another opportunity to renew her GIC.
Right now is a great time to talk about TFSA’s. People can contribute until the end of February 29th. I’m really glad the IRP gave a brief training session to me about TFSA’s so at least I am able to talk generally about it. It really helped. Unfortunately most people know about it already or just aren’t interested. But yeah, I am trying hard. Was praised by the manager as she said I was really putting some effort as the IRP has observed.
So far, I realized I really enjoy talking to customers and getting to know them. I’ve met some people whom just talk non-stop and love to tell me their stories. Hahaha. I also really enjoy helping people for instance setting up online banking for them and making their lives so much easier.
